I am a retired teacher who is loving being retired almost as much as I loved teaching and loved the kids in my classes. I enjoyed every day that my students learned something new and that lightbulb turned on in their eyes.

There is no greater fulfillment than knowing them now, as adults, some young, a few great grandparents, and knowing the wonderful people they have become. Although what I write, I write for my own pleasure, I also write to honor them.

Back, Finally

You all may have noticed that I haven't posted in four months. Well, I suppose that life got in the way. But I would like to think that I am back and with this return, I am increasing the scope of my blog. Originally, I intended to write only about sewing projects, but I am into too many other things.

First, there was Christmas for which I did very little sewing. I went into some sort of slump there. Perhaps, I should have written about that for the benefit of others who go into slumps.

And since Christmas I have been reading. And for a reader, when one begins reading, nothing else matters ... not even the sewing I had planned. So, I may have to write about the books I have read and the life I have lived as well as the sewing I have done.

And so, from this moment forward, I promise to write about once a week and keep it interesting --- to somebody! Therefore, the warning: watch out! I am writing again.
